Safeguarding is paramount to us here at Hedgehogs
Training
All our staff are trained in safeguarding through the Staffordshire Safeguarding Board and all staff update their knowledge and understanding on a regular basis.
Safe & Secure Environment
We create a safe and secure environment for all children who attend Hedgehogs. Ensuring we complete risk assessments and adhere to our policies and procedures. All staff have a duty of care to protect all children at Hedgehogs, and staff follow robust procedures to ensure that all children are safe.
Child's Voice
We ensure that all children's voices are heard - all our staff make great bonds with the children and each setting has their own key children. In EYFS safeguarding, listening to and capturing a child's voice is crucial for effective practise, helping all Hedgehogs staff to understand their experiences and take appropriate action. This includes understanding different communication methods, including both verbal and nonverbal cues.
